Zara plaited shopper

I have been eyeing this baby up for a while, and I finally got one for Christmas! It is really big, but the leather and the shape is beautiful! It is, however, quite heavy on the arm (if you hold it like I am in the pic) -luckily it comes with a longer strap which you can throw over your shoulder!

The slightly bad thing to this bad is everyone seems to own one.
It was highly sought after when Oliver Palermo was seen with one. It is very likely you will bump in to another person with this bag when you are out. But, I still love it nonetheless.

Topshop "Ambush" boots

I have been on the hunt for the Topshop Allegra2 boots or even the Allegras in black! But they are sold out everywhere (BIG sad face)!

Ain't they a beauty?

So I settled for these Ambush boots instead, and I'm glad! I love them!!! They are super comfy, I shopped in them for about 4 hours and they didn't even hurt my feet.

Thanks to my parents for these! As they are a part of my Christmas present, lucky me I got them early :)!

Shellac gel manicure review

My local nail salon had an offer for £20 for the Shellac gel manicure. I have been wanting to try Shellac/Gelish nails for a while, and with the offer that was on I decided to book myself in.

The website quotes:

Shellac Nails TM last up to 14 days without losing shine or shimmer. They are hard and do not scratch or smudge. When it comes time to take them off the nail, it is as easy as 1, 2, 3 and it does not damage the nail itself.

Shellac Process

So the process involved filing nails into shape and removing cuticles. Then, the lady applied the base coat and I had to put that nail under the UV lamp. Then a layer of the Shellac colour, under the lamp again, another layer of Shellac colour, under the lamp, top coat, under the lamp. Then, each nail was wiped with alcohol and voila my nails were done, and COMPLETELY dry. It was a strange feeling of having perfectly dried nails after a manicure and I still found myself being really careful as though my nails were still wet.

Here is a picture after I got them done:

And exactly 2 weeks later:

You can see that my nails have grown out a lot! But, they are still pretty shiny and the wear on them was pretty good! I am usually quite rough with my nails and the Shellac didn't chip over the 2 weeks. However, towards the last couple of days the paint did start to peel a bit.

Shellac Removal

I had the Shellac removed as I wanted to play around with some new nail varnishes I have purchased recently. The removal process was pretty simple. The lady put some acetone on a bit of cotton wool and placed this on each nail, and wrapped foil around it (so each finger tip was like a foil parcel). I kept this on for a while and my hands were placed under a light to heat it up a little. Then she removed them one by one, and scraped the remainder of the Shellac off. My nails don't really look damaged at all, they look pretty normal to me. I have had acrylic nails removed in the past, and that is a lot more damaging.

My Verdict

I would definitely recommend Shellac, and I will definitely be having more Shellac manicures. It's just the thought of having perfect nails for 2 weeks, and not having to worry about chipping them in any way! But, in the salon I went to they didn't really have that many colours -and the colours available were all pretty similar. So I look forward to seeing more colours being added to the Shellac range!

The Ombre by HRH Collection

HRH Collection is a jewellery range designed and hand made by a lady named Alex. I have heard about her collection and seen her unique pieces in many blogs and Youtube videos, and when I saw Alex wear this Ombre bracelet on her Instagram paired with her Michael Kors watch I had to have it!

^ The picture that forced me to make my purchase! (Two above pictures are from Alex's shop/Instagram)

I have always wanted to make an order, but I'm not keen on buying from the US (in case of custom fees etc), but I saw the Ombre bracelet was in stock (RARE occasion!) and thought it must be fate! It has always been a tradition to either wear silver or gold, but Alex's jewellery has given us all the confidence to wear silver and gold together, and why did we not before? They look gorgeous together!

So the bracelet is lightweight, chunky and can be layered or worn alone. I'm looking forward to pairing it with some of my other jewellery. It was $35 and $13 shipping and took around 2 weeks to arrive, I was expecting to wait about 3-4 weeks to be honest! I would love to buy all her pieces, but they're always sold out. Maybe one day fate will strike again, I'm eyeing up the necklaces!
